The client is a US-based prominent tax preparation and consulting company. Client had an idea for a solution that streamlines tax management and preparation processes for small and medium sized companies.
The client wanted to develop a SaaS (software as a service) solution and needed software product development for the tax software market space. Client was looking for a reliable software development partner with a good understanding of the tax industry and proven expertise in custom software development to bring their vision to life.
Solution
Client chose us to develop a cloud-based SaaS platform that streamlines the management of sign-in sheets for tax offices, and replaces them with an online check-in system. The solution consists of several core capabilities for check-in and collection of information from clients, instructing the user to enter the information on a tax return for the tax professional, customer relationship management, and case management.
The solution also has additional features for assigning a specific link/URL for each tax preparation office, e-signature feature allowing users to digitally sign documents, lobby screen, and more that can be utilized optionally by platform users.
Your App Hero’s team created prototypes of the SaaS platform and functional architecture for the subsequent development phase. During the design phase, we worked closely with the customer and suggested the UI features for a better user experience.
The purpose of the SaaS platform is to enable tax preparation companies to replace the legacy paper sign-in sheets used in tax preparation offices with an online platform that displays client information, provides a call number for clients, tracks tax preparers’ work, and instructs users on various aspects.
Process
Your App Hero was involved in all the stages of the project, including client meeting, requirements gathering, business analysis, requirements formulation, SaaS product development and testing, quality assurance and post-development customer support.
Your App Hero’s specialists involved in the project were divided into two teams — the execution team and the value team. Development, testing, and deployment of the platform’s functionality was the responsibility of the execution team. While the value team was responsible for business analysis, and communicating with the client, architecture design, and future planning. The value team gathered requirements that were passed on to the execution team.
Results
Your App Hero developed a scalable and highly configurable software web application. Software got positive feedback after the solution’s release, and had a tremendous positive impact for the tax preparation offices using the SaaS platform. Many also praise the solution’s performance, the platform has enhanced customer experience and users have given great reviews.
